Australia’s hottest progressive rock band, Polaris, will take to the stage at the popular community venue with special guests Ocean Grove and Bloom as part of their Australian regional tour in July.

Have an interest in art and culture? Venue 114 will play host to the nation’s largest showcase of wearable art with three runway shows featuring national and international artists and designers as part of The Australian Wearable Art Festival.

Venue 114 Manager Louise Thompson said the Sunshine Coast community was in for a treat with an exciting calendar of events in 2024.

“Venue 114 has an impressive year ahead with an incredible line-up of homegrown bands, children’s entertainment, as well as curating and hosting a number of cultural, business and youth events,” Ms Thompson said.

Polaris one of Australia's leading bands in heavy metal 

Polaris

The modern metalcore band from Sydney that’s developed a reputation for being one of Australia’s leading bands in the heavy music scene, is coming to the Sunshine Coast.

Sharing the stage with other up-and-coming bands, Ocean Grove and Bloom, the regional tour is selling fast.

It will feature hits from their third album Fatalism which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Charts upon release in 2023.

Time: doors open at 7pm

Get ready to immerse yourself in a burst of creativity as The Australian Wearable Art Festival is back for 2024.

Merging art, science, fashion and technology will result in wearable pieces of art and sculptures that inspire, intrigue and motivate. This is Australia’s largest wearable art show with a focus on recyclable garments and sustainability initiatives, more than 40 national and international entries take to the catwalk in a spectacular night of high-end creativity and entertainment.

When: Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10, 204

Cost:  from $85 per person plus booking fee

Emma Memma takes to the stage

With her unmistakable red curls, bright smile and passion for music and dance, Emma Watkins is set to take to the stage at Venue 114 later this year.

Emma Watkins is an ARIA award-winning children’s musical superstar. She is heading back out on her big, bright, orange Butterfly Bus to tour around the country bringing with her the Boop and Twirl stage show.

Sunshine Coast children will enjoy singing, dancing and singing with Emma Memma and her friends, Elvin Melvin, BB Butterfly, Waffles the Wombat and their favourite Memma Mates! 

When: Tuesday 17 September, 2024, 10am and 12pm.

Filled with the adventures of imagination the show will take children across the sea, up in the sky and over the moon.
