Little athletes around the track

The history of Little Athletics on the Sunshine Coast is explored through interviews with local community members. The film accompanies the Around The Track exhibition and is screening at Landsborough Museum until the 30 August 2026. This is the third film in the "Grassroots To Glory" series based on sport in the lead up to the 2032 Olympics. The film include interviews, images, videos, and research, that invites viewers to step into the shoes of local athletes and coaches, while learning about the history and development of Little Athletics on the Sunshine Coast. By better understanding the history of sport on the Sunshine Coast, we further develop an understanding of the historical character of the region, particularly in relation to working together and the incredible efforts of our community volunteers.
