Visit the website for a full list of items you can reuse and recycle near you, but to kick things off, check out where on the Sunshine Coast you can recycle your aluminium coffee capsules, corks and old glasses.
Aluminium coffee capsules
The Nespresso coffee capsule recycling program accepts all brands of aluminium coffee capsules. There are three ways to recycle aluminium capsules:
- Drop off your used capsules to your nearest Nespresso store, or participating florist or garden centre. Search above for a location near you.
- Use a bulk recycling box to collect capsules on behalf of your workplace or community,
- Purchase an Australia Post satchel and return it through the mail once it's full ($5 per bag).
Plastic coffee capsules
If you use plastic coffee capsules or pods, check with the manufacturer to see if they offer a recycling service for customers.

Glasses
Lions Recycle for Sight Australia
As part of the Lions Clubs International Worldwide Eyeglass Recycling Program, you can drop off or mail your unwanted glasses, spectacles, hearing aids and unused contact lenses to Lions Club to be distributed to those in need in Australia and abroad.
Lions has partnered with Specsavers to provide Australians around the country with drop-off points. Visit your local store to drop off your unwanted glasses.
Alternatively, you can mail them to Lions (please remove the glasses from any cases and pop them in a padded bag or bubble wrap):

Corks
Natural corks can be dropped off for recycling through a pilot program by ReCork. Collection units are located at Dan Murphy's in Coolum Beach, Buddina and Noosaville.
Natural corks from wine and sparkling wine bottles can be recycled through the program (please remove any packaging such as wire or aluminium foil). Synthetic/plastic corks are currently not accepted.
Corks that are recycled through the program will be processed in Australia and turned into new products. The corks will be sent to Save Our Soles to be turned into products such as anti-fatigue mats used in retail stores and restaurants.
