The annual National Marathon Championships were held at Mooloolaba Spit Parkland in prior years and we are thrilled to be showcasing our event again at this spectacular location.

The sunshine coast is an amazing destination for our paddling community with loads of attractions to explore, places to eat and enjoy the natural beauty.

"We are excited to be returning to Mooloolaba to host this years National Marathon Championships in partnership with an amazing event team of volunteers across zones and clubs," said Janine Nikora, Vice President of AOCRA.

"We are pleased to showcase Outrigger canoe racing at Mooloolaba Spit Park location which offers beautiful ocean waters to race in. Our paddling community enjoy the returning to the stunning Sunshine Coast and when not racing, supporting the local cafes and restaurants in the area as well. With club teams from around Australia competing, this year's event promises to be competitive and challenging across all age divisions”.

With the start and finish line located at Mooloolaba Spit Parkland, spectators will have the opportunity to see the excitement of the race up close and everyone is welcome to attend over the weekend.
