  • First Nations School Holiday Program

    The Cultural Heritage Services team are proud to collaborate with the Sunshine Coast Libraries, First 5 Forever program to deliver the First Nations School Holiday program. Celebrate NAIDOC week 2021 with this free, fun, hands-on, educational day where children will learn stories from local First Nations people, participate in art activities, play games and learn traditional dances with the Gubbi Gubbi dancers. Food vans and refreshments available or pack a picnic lunch.

  • William Smith Burgess Bill Spikes - Curators floor talk

    Imagine keeping your bills for 50 years! William Smith Burgess did and what a legacy he has left.  Let Curators; Carita Robinson and Gabriella McLay share with you the stories they discovered about William Smith, Bankfoot House and the local region when the undertook research on the Bill Spikes. A special guided tour of Bankfoot House Heritage Precinct focused on the life of William Smith Burgess will follow.
