There is something for everyone to enjoy, so bring the family! Relax in cosy Christmas scenes from pioneer days, discover the SantaTrain and explore light displays.

Looking for school holiday fun? Check out council’s museum holiday program at the Bankfoot House and Landsborough Museum. Museums will be closed public holidays.

Bring the kids and spark their curiosity—who knows, you might even inspire the next great explorer!
Kenilworth Museum	Visitor Information Centre Wednesday to Monday, 10.00am-3.00pm	Buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win a fabulous Kenilworth Christmas cake from a traditional recipe. Multiple cakes to be won with a draw each week. Tickets on sale at the Visitor information Centre.
Landsborough Museum	11-19 December Wednesday to Sunday, 10.00am-3.00pm Free museum entry	Puppet storytime, Christmas star craft, and create your own beeswax Christmas candle. Bookings essential. Summer school holiday program
Nambour Museum	Thursday 18 December, 6.30pm-8.00pm Kids Free!	Christmas at the Museum is back by popular demand. Meet Santa himself, enjoy Christmas carols played by the Sunshine Coast Brass Band, and make fun kids craft to take home. Kids Free! Adults gold coin donation.
Queensland Air Museum	Saturday 24 January 2026, 10.00am-4.00pm Bookings not required QLD Air Museum Open Days are suitable for the whole family	Helicopters Open Day at the Queensland Air Museum is a chance for the whole family to get up close and personal with helicopters. There will be food trucks, coffee vans and ice cream available. Helicopter experts will be on-site, and you can book helicopter rides on the day for a discounted rate. Look through the rest of the Queensland Air Museum's large collection of aircraft and aviation artefacts. Have an immersive experience in our 737-800 simulator cockpit (for an addition cost and bookings are required). This is a great wet-weather activity as there will be many exhibits undercover.
