Close to selling out
Caloundra’s first kindergarten class, children chewing sugar cane and the Sand Garden competition are just some of the iconic images making an appearance in the Fond Memories: Celebrating people, places and childhood fun 2020 cultural heritage calendar.
The 2020 Heritage Calendar captures community memories and images of the relaxed lifestyle that has become the signature of Sunshine Coast, to create a special keepsake for sharing with friends and families. This year’s theme, Fond Memories, is a fun way to step back in time and relive memories of growing up on the Sunshine Coast.
This year, photos have been drawn from the private collections of eight locals – winners of the heritage calendar photo competition – and council’s own Picture Sunshine Coast collection, which can be accessed by the community via Sunshine Coast Libraries.
Congratulations to the competition winners – Lenore Meldrum, Kevin Nemeth, Geoffrey Morton, Wendy Birrell, Kennedy Fox, Dorothy Robinson-Mackay, Leonie Neil and Audienne Blyth
Limited numbers now only available from Nambour, Beerwah, Maleny, Kawana and Maroochydore Libraries.
The annual Sunshine Coast Council Heritage Calendar is produced to celebrate and showcase the unique cultural heritage of our region. It is proudly supported by council’s Cultural Heritage Levy.
