The Bill Spikes; daily life of W.S. Burgess exhibition

From 1902 until his death in 1946, William Smith Burgess, kept a remarkable account of daily life at Bankfoot House. Along with his diaries, he maintained four bill spikes, amassing over 1900 documents. 

Documents range from mundane timber receipts to revealing chain letters. Experience the daily life of William Burgess through the records he preserved.
