Yandina Historic House

A lovely example of a hinterland Homestead built in 1899, the building was relocated to the current site in 1996. Run by volunteers, Yandina Historic House serves light refreshments, has local information, an arts and crafts shop, regional historical publications, an art gallery and a museum. The museum features historic photographs, tools, machinery and artefacts.

Yandina Historic House Significance Assessment

This Significance Assessment[5610KB] of the Yandina Historic House details the local history collection and makes recommendations on how the collection is managed into the future. The report was commissioned by Sunshine Coast Council and funded by the Heritage Levy. It was undertaken by Josh Tarrant, Museum Development Officer, South East Queensland Region, Queensland Museum in 2019-2020 who studied the collection and related documentation, and consulted with members of the Yandina & District Historical Society.
